To determine if available data is sufficient to develop a groundwater flow model to estimate contributing area of water to wells. To determine what data needs to be collected to develop a groundwater flow model of the area.
Statement of Problem
The sources of volatile organic compounds in public supply wells in Fairlawn Township New Jersey are poorly understood. The USEPA wants USGS to evaluate available hydrogeologic and groundwater-quality data to determine if there is sufficient data to develop a model to estimate contributing area of water to the wells.
