Project Objectives

  1. Reactivate gage downstream of outlet
  2. Measure discharge in selected inflow streams
  3. Measure groundwater levels in selected wells near lake.

Statement of Problem

Effective management of the Lake Hopatcong watershed requires a basic understanding of a water budget.

Strategy and Approach

Measure outflow by gaging outflow.
Measure inflows by collecting discharge measurements at selected inflows and precip.
Measure areas of GW inflow and outflow by comparing groundwater level to lake stage
