The Menlo Park visit of the National Research Council review panel was held here January 20 and 21. We had Steve Bohlen and Patrick Muffler sitting in for many of the presentations, and we heard from our new Director, Chip Groat, who expressed strong support for the CMG program. Thanks to all of you for the excellent jobs that you did in preparing for and presenting our program to the panel. Your effort was much appreciated by Mike Carr, by the program managers, and by the NRC Panel. Well done.

From a personal point of view, and for those who missed the presentations, I think that what we heard was a superb summary of all of our program elements. The presenters each spent several days working with other researchers and distilling down the objectives, results, challenges, and future of the elements into their short talks. I think the NRC panel was impressed with our scope; I know they were excited by some of the science. Again, thanks to all of you who made it successful.
