Peter Barnes Begins New Assignment
Peter Barnes returned to science in Menlo Park at the beginning
of July after serving in an outstanding manner as the Associate
Program Coordinator for the past three years. My working with
Peter during that time has been a real pleasure; he is a rare
combination of a person possessing excellent science skills, broad
experience and training, while also having the aptitude for helping
manage and direct a science program of the size and complexity of
the Coastal and Marine Geology Program. I want to thank Peter for
all of his many contributions to CMGP and to marine science and
wish him well as he returns to marine science.
