For years, Sue Hunt has led the Menlo Park Field Office in numerous recycling efforts, from maintaining recycling bins all over campus, to establishing and running the Supply Exchange, to finding good homes for large and small items freed up in building moves. This September 22, Sue's tireless efforts will be recognized in Washington, D.C., where she will receive the Department of the Interior Environmental Achievement Award for 1999. Sue will be honored for "her outstanding personal efforts in the Western Region on green acquisition, recycling, waste reduction and reuse, and providing educational materials and information to USGS employees." Congratulations, Sue, and thanks for helping us all be more conscientious citizens!
