USGS in Partnership with Journalism Center October 1999 in this issue:  previous story | next story The St. Petersburg Field Center (SPFC) is a member of the newly established Interdisciplinary Science Journalism Center in St. Petersburg, Fla. The partnership includes the University of South Florida (USF) School of Mass Communications and Departments of Marine Sciences and Pediatrics, the Florida Institute of Oceanography, U.S. Geological Survey, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and the Poynter Institute for Media Studies and its parent company, The St. Petersburg Times.
