Juneteenth Celebration in Woods Hole

The Woods Hole Black History Month Committee (WHBHMC) held the "Juneteenth Celebration" (recognition
and celebration of the freedom of an enslaved American people) with an all day outing on June 19th at
the Bell Tower Field in Woods Hole. WHBHMC sponsors are the USGS, Marine Biological Laboratory, Woods
Hole Oceanographic Institute and NOAA (Fisheries). The USGS participants included Jamey Reid, Rebecca
Riall, Gina Diaz, Fausto Marincioni, Ben Gutierrez, Chris Polloni, Derrick Hill, Eben Perry, Artie
Hardy-Doubleday, Mario Santos, and Glynn Williams.
