Peter Barnes welcomes two National Association of Geoscience Teachers (NAGT) interns to work on
Alaska mapping synthesis, habitat mapping in Lake Michigan, and onshore-offshore geologic mapping
in Barrien Co., Michigan. Kevin Mininger comes to us from West Virginia via North Carolina, where
he just completed his bachelor studies at Guilford College. He completed a joint major in
Geology and Environmental Studies. Kristen Lee is from Gardiner, Maine, and has just graduated
from Williams College in Massachusetts with a degree in Geosciences. Kevin and Kristen are part
of the USGS/NAGT Cooperative Field Training Program, which provides professional geologic field
experiences for outstanding graduating seniors. If you're in Menlo Park, drop in and welcome these
new employees in Building 2, Room 2154.
