Quenton Smith-Costello Chosen for Western Region Special Emphasis Program Advisory Committee
The SEP is a bureau-wide program that covers a broad range of functions, some of which were formerly addressed by the Geologic Division's Women's Advisory Committee (WAC) and Ethnic Minority Advisory Committee (EMAC). SEP goals include:
To achieve these beneficial goals for all employees, the SEP addresses issues and concerns of women, minorities, and people with disabilities in achieving equal employment opportunities. Functions of the SEP include promoting recruitment of women, minorities, and persons with disabilities; promoting education and formal development programs available through the agency or the local community; and supporting diversity programs and other cultural activities and awareness months.
