Spotty burn mosaic with light charring of understory throughout. 50-60% duff consumption. Low < 5-10% consumption of medium down fuels. Soil cover and color unchanged. 5-10% grasses, small shrubs, and forbs burned in understory with very high survivorship. Low amount of colonizers. 20-30% shrub and small tree layer change in cover, most resprouting. 25-35% intermediate trees burned. Intermediate trees have < 5% torch and 80-90% scorch/girdle for trees that burned; charred spots around bases. Low intermediate tree mortality. Stratum D approaching the moderate range, otherwise severity scores are consistently low. Black Spruce/Tussock Tundra community type.
