Fairly uniform moderate charring of understory, more severe impacts to overstory. 25% consumption of duff. 3-5% consumption of heavy down fuels. All grasses, small shrubs, and forbs burned, with about 70% survival; moderate amount of colonizers, and moderate-high change in species composition expected. > 95% taller shrub and small tree layer change in cover, top charred, branching largely consumed, 95% survival of deciduous shrubs. 100% of intermediate trees burned, with 55-65% crown char/torch and 35-45% scorch. 100% tree mortality. Char height is > 5 m. Black Spruce forest type.
