95% burn with variable effects across strata. Litter and light fuels 50-60% consumed; duff < 25% with shallow charring; larger fuels only 10%. Slight <10% change in soil cover. 95% grass-herbs burned with 50% alive. A low number of colonizers with low-moderate change in species composition. Sapling tree mortality is high with a few resprouting tall shrubs. Intermediate tree canopy mortality is 60%, showing 35% char, 50% scorch; 15% green. Big trees show no canopy mortality with 5-10% char, 65-75% scorch-girdle, 20-25% green. Ground char height is 3-5 m. Gray Pine/Oak/ Silk tassel open grassy understory.
