75% burn with light charring of understory. 70-80% consumption of litter and light fuels. 35-45% of duff consumed with light char. 10-20% of medium down fuels, and 25% of heavy down fuels consumed with some moderate char. 5-15% change in soil cover. Around 90% of grasses, small shrubs, and forbs in understory remain viable, with no new colonizers. 70% of small trees in understory remain green. 40-50% of intermediate tree crowns are green with 55% crown char. 70-80% of big trees are green with 20% crown char impacts. Overall overstory tree mortality is 15%. Char height < 2.8 m. Low rating in strata B brings down CBI total plot average. California Red Fir forest and woodland community type.
