100% burn with high charring of understory throughout. 100% consumption of litter and >98% of light fuel. > 98% consumption of duff with deep char. > 60% consumption of medium down fuel with deep char. > 40% consumption of heavy down fuels with deep char. > 80% change in soil cover and color. > 98% of grasses, small shrubs, and forbs burned in understory, little regeneration. Low increase in amount of new colonizers due to high severity. 100% of tall shrubs and small trees charred with notable branch loss. 100% of intermediate trees show > 95% crown torch and < 5% scorch/girdle impacts. 100% of big trees burned from 45-55% torch and 45-55% scorch/girdle impacts. 100% intermediate and big tree mortality. Char heights > 7 m. Mediterranean California Red Fir forest and woodland community type.
