98% burn with high charring of understory throughout. 100% consumption of litter and light fuel. 100% consumption of duff. > 60% consumption of medium down fuel and heavy down fuels. > 80% change in soil cover and color. 100% of grasses, small shrubs, and forbs burned in understory; negligible regeneration noted. Low increase in amount of new colonizers due to high severity. 100% of tall shrubs and small trees charred; no survival. 100% of intermediate trees charred with branch loss. 100% big trees are burned from 60-70% char/torch and 30-40% scorch/girdle impacts. 100% overstory tree mortality. Char heights > 7 m. Mediterranean California Red Fir forest and woodland community type.
