70% burn with light charring of understory. 45-55% consumption of litter, 20-30% consumption of duff with light charring, and up to 30% increase in soil cover. Light consumption of heavy down fuels. 70% of grasses, small shrubs, and forbs burned; about 90% surviving with low numbers of new colonizers. 20-30% of tall shrubs and small trees burned in understory, but resulted in high mortality and change in sapling conifer cover. The higher strata C rating increases total CBI overall. 100% of intermediate trees showed sign of burning with >80% crown scorch/girdle impacts. 95% of big trees remain green with 5-10% scorch/girdle impacts. 90% intermediate and 10% overstory tree mortality. Mixed conifer/deciduous forest community.
