A newly released U.S. Geological Survey web page--"Drought Watch "99" --at URL http://md.water.usgs.gov/drought gives you fast access to

o current streamflow conditions and other USGS drought information

o current drought information and weather conditions from the National Weather Service

o agricultural conditions

o USGS information about past droughts and average conditions

o definitions of drought and the official Maryland and Pennsylvania drought warnings

Check out http://water.usgs.gov/dwc/national_map.html for graphics, including a color-coded streamflow map and other drought information for the lower 48 United States.

Look at http://md.usgs.gov/rt-cgi/gen_tbl_pg to see real-time streamflow data, both tabled and graphed, for Maryland and Delaware.
