Dates:   The GIS workshop will be May 10-11 and TNM UC will be May 12-13, 2011 in Denver, Colo.

Costs: Registration for the pre-conference GIS Workshop is $350. Priority will be given to USGS employees and presenters. Registration for TNM UC is free, but space is limited so registration will be on a first-come, first served basis.

Where: The GIS Workshop will be conducted at the Denver Federal Training Center, May 10 – 11. The evening of May 11 will serve as a transition to the UC. The UC and will be held at the Denver Marriott West in Golden, Colo., May 12 -13, which is also the Conference hotel.
Purpose: The goal of the interactive workshop and conference is to address and enhance communications among the communities of users of The National Map, Federal GIS specialists and scientists, and data providers. The sessions are designed to provide a collaborative and informative venue to explore the direction of The National Map, mapping trends, and GIS applications.

The agenda for both events was largely developed from accepted abstracts and will feature several tracks, panel sessions, hands-on training, poster sessions, motivating keynotes, opportunities for dialog and other dynamic experiences.
