Dr. Gordon Eaton, the national director of the U.S. Geological Survey in Reston, Va., will be one of the speakers at the Friday, April 18, 1997 dedication of Placer Hall on the California State University at Sacramento campus.

The new building will house offices and laboratories of the USGS division of water resources, as well as CSUS Department of Geology offices and classrooms.

Dr. Eaton will be available for news media interviews between 2 and 3 p.m., and immediately following the 4 p.m. dedication ceremony.
