Changes in Riparian Vegetation in Arizona

San Pedro River at Palominas (09470500), February 7, 1995

Image of San Pedro River at Palominas (09470500), February 7, 1995.
Dominic Oldershaw The main channel of the San Pedro River has narrowed, possibly in response to riparian vegetation and earthwork. A dense thicket of trees--- mostly cottonwood---line its banks, and older trees have grown up to the right. Since it is winter, the plants are leafless in this photo.
